Yes, we’ve been to posher hotels and paid lots more. This is just perfect for this price range and we couldn’t recommend it more. Staff have been lovely, a hotel folk seem to use as a base which means the pool area is quiet most of the day. Supports local businesses as you need to go out to eat/ drink in the evenings which is how to experience and support the island.

"Well worth the money! Brilliant."

After reading reviews I was worried about the hotel. Honestly you get what you pay for. You can’t moan. Breakfast was so much better than expected! It’s a bit out the way but it’s so chill totally worth it. We walked up the road and jumped on a bus to the boatyard was great. The staff are brilliant especially in the morning. Definitely worth the money. If you don’t like it pay more and go to a different hotel. Simple.

"Very Happy, you get what you pay for 😊."

Did we pay 5-star All-inclusive prices? Absolutely not and therefore wasn't expecting 5-star Service but we had a brilliant time. The rooms were a bit dated but were very clean, and had everything we needed, so we couldn't complain. Very helpful, welcoming, and efficient Hotel Staff. I felt like I had to leave a review just for the lovely hotel staff.

"We had a very relaxing stay."

A great hotel in a good location for those wanting to explore the island. The staff are excellent and always went the extra mile. The rooms are comfortable with most having an uninterrupted view of the gardens and pool. Just a short walk takes you to golden sands and a beautiful ocean. The gardens are well stocked and encourage a variety of life including hummingbirds and the occasional monkey. The pools are very family friendly and the temperature perfect.

Stayed in with my girlfriend. When we stayed the place was pretty quiet. Breakfast was good and the staff were attentive. Cheap and cheerful! Super clean and tidy. I will definitely come back again when i re-visit!

“Quiet oasis & excellent Value for Money." 


A very peaceful oasis with beautiful gardens around two pools. Lots of hummingbirds landing on the flowers. But no entertainment or bar (unless serving food). The bedroom very spacious & clean. Good air con. Lovely friendly helpful staff from reception security cleaning ladies kitchen staff & gardeners. It’s in a good location across the road from the beach. Easy walk to St Lawrence Gap and Dover beach.

This is my second time staying at Sun bay Hotel. The first time was great and so was this time. The staff are friendly and eager to help and whatever issues we had were quickly fixed. It's not the Ritz but I am happy with it. I will be back.
